This journal is a culmination of many things and to finally have it printed is a dream come true and something I am very grateful for. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to travel to many places around the world ? from Alaska to Africa; across Canada to the Caribbean and beyond. It is my honor to share them with you, and I can only hope that you can experience these places through the pictures I have taken.

In this fast paced world we live in, we need to remember to take a few minutes for ourselves every day and remember what we are grateful for. That is where "Reflections of Gratitude" comes in. Keep the journal on your bedside table and take 5-10 minutes at the end of each day to reflect on the good things that have happened. Write down 3-5 things you are grateful for; it doesn?t matter how big or small. It is my hope that when you get into the habit of doing this every day, you will become more aware of the positive and beautiful things that surround you.

Also included at the front of the journal is a "Dream List". Take some extra time to write down as many dreams/goals/things you want to accomplish that you can think of. Once again, these are your own and it doesn't matter how big/small or out of this world they seem. Review this list every once in a while; and update it as you see fit. At the end of a year of using this journal see how many dreams you have achieved. Never stop dreaming.

After watching Anderson Cooper's "Planet in Peril" series on CNN in October 2007, I have felt the need to do something more and this journal is a step towards that. As my way of giving back to this world, trees will be planted for every five journals sold.
