Eagle Sunset over water; boat on right side Still water with tree on left side
I met "Spirit" while touring in Juneau, Alaska. She was injured, but still had lots of attitude! Whenever you said her name, she would turn and look directly at you.
Our cruise ship was leaving St. Maarten in the Virgin Islands. I was taking a walk around the top deck when I saw this. I loved the colors and how the clouds layered them.
Taken at Buschart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. It was so calm, peaceful and quiet at this one spot. I love how the water looks like a sheet of glass.
Wooden door Mist on mountain tops High bridge over water; red/orange rocks
Whenever one door closes, another one opens. This was taken at Fort San Cristobal in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
This was taken standing at the base of the Drakensburg Mountains in South Africa. The mist appeared to be dancing on the tops of the mountains.
The colors at the "Potholes" just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa were amazing. Once again, it took a bit of waiting to get this shot without anyone crossing the bridge.
Yellow flower with red/orange on edges Butterfly Clouds
Taken while walking through the Tropical House at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This flower was actually tucked away and if I hadn't been looking down, I would have missed it.
I had been looking to find butterflies. Then an announcement came over the radio the there was to be a butterfly display at our local yearly amusement park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Thousands of butterflies in once place.
I love looking at the clouds, and trying to see different things in their shapes. This picture was actually taken in the parking lot of a local mall in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Once again, I happened to look up as I was walking to my car and liked the “cotton ball” look of them.
Trees forming canopy over road Plants starting to grow; three leaves – one Lone sailboat on water
Wherever you are walking, always remember to look behind you. After parking my car to take a walk in Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I looked back and liked the way the trees formed a canopy over the roadway.
The way plants grow really is a miracle. I liked how the water droplets were on the leaves. Taken in the Tropical House at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Another sailboat shot taken from the beach at Brewers Bay in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
Close up of lily; white with pink edges Pelican flying Water flowing over rocks in shade; longer shot
Another shot in the Tropical House at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Once again, if you don't look down, you may miss beautiful flowers.
The pelicans were having a great time playing and diving into the water in at Brewers Bay in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. I never realized how large a wingspan they really have.
This was taken at another spot on the side of the road between Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah. I like how the sun is peeking out of the trees at the back of the picture. The sound of the water rushing over the rocks is something I find very peaceful.
